Absolutely stunning! The mist, the colors, the loon, and that hauntingly beautiful call.
Thanks!
That is so peaceful. Thanks for sharing this jewel of nature.
I can hardly wait to hear that sound again. We are still snowed up in the mountains and the lakes are still frozen. This is such a treat.tks.
I can see the smile on Sigurd Olson’s face. Wonderful sounds. Thank you.
Thank you! Exquisite.
Amazing sounds traveling across the water in all four directions!! Thanks Jim!!
Loons don’t deserve their “loony” name. Their plaintive cry of Nature is music to my ears.
Simply a beautiful combination of sight & sound – great videography. I could replay this over & over ever night to lull me to dreamland…..thank you.
Beautiful and calming! Thank you.
Lovely!
So beautiful! Could sit there all day!
I could listen to this all day,
This is gorgeous… just gorgeous!
So beautiful!
Simply stunning. Thank you for sharing this extraordinary beauty.
This one would win awards! I cant decide if I want to live on that little island , or live where I can see it. The mist goes so well with the loon’s call.
Out of 365 videos, all of which I’ve seen several times now over the past few years, it’s very hard to pick the best. They’re all wonderful. For my money, thought, if this one isn’t the best it’s very darn close. Exquisite.
nothing better to my mind or ears
I’ve been coming to this site for years. This is probably my favorite ever from you. Look up peaceful in the dictionary and this video will be there!!
Love loons. Thanks so very much for sharing this beautiful video and heartening audio.
Blessings upon you for your generosity and talent.
Just a beautiful sound. I can hardly wait for the ice to sink on our lake, we still had 30 inches last week. Then the loons come home and we have that so perfectly haunting sound. Thank you for this video.
Perfection.
Just perfect!!
Hauntingly beautiful. Thank you. <3
Beautiful! So happy to see the lake opening and the loons back!
Love this! The video and sound – perfection! Thank you!
Thank you so much for your generosity in sharing your time and talent. Thank you.
Lovely…setting and sound. Would you share the name of this lake? Would love to see it in person.
The beauty of nature. We should all do our part in preserving our natural resources. Resources that the present administration is trying to destroy at every opportunity.
I want to live right there on that little island. A tent will do.
wonderful; thankyou
This IS one of the best. Pure magic! Why there is a lure to the north. Loons have such a wonderful call. Many thanks!
Thanks you for the lovely start to a beautiful morning….nothing better than that call.!
Love loons,
Absolutely beautiful!!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️
The beauty of these vignettes often bring tears to my eyes. Today was one of them. We need to preserve these wild places and their inhabitants. Thank you Nature 365 for this gift today.
Beautiful
Wish I was there.
Thanks Jim I don’t get up north much anymore… with this masterful piece I am there☺️
Lovely way to start the day!

Beautiful video and I LOVE the calls of the Loons.
Beaufiful!!!
Hope the ice melts fast, since we know these loons are coming!
Love the sounds of Loons! So beautiful
So happy to see the ice coming off!! In the throws of getting a little A Frame on the west end of Moose Lake that is water access, and I can’t wait to be there!!
Congrats on the cabin! I know which one you are speaking of as our family is planning to go up mid-May to cabin shop and that little A frame was one of about 8 places we were going to look at — amazing views! Thanks for narrowing our search! Perhaps our canoes will meet sometime. Welcome to the BW!
Beautiful! Love the call of the loons!
Breathtaking. One of the best.
Sounds like the cabin.. Won’t be long now!
Beautiful clip….the lighting, mist and wild call of the loon make this absolutely magical. What an amazing world we live in.
Cool!! l’être humain oublie trop souvent que l’eau est son premier élément …..Très apaisant de se ressourcer au bord de l’eau, à méditer
MERCI
We really need to preserve this natural beauty for now and always.
Thank you for sharing. I have a poster that you taken of some loons in Minnesota. My husband purchased it for me and had it framed. It’s beautiful!
Exquisite! Seems like another world.
This is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. If I had been there, I wonder if my eyes and heart would have been able to hold this much wonder and mystery…thank you.
Beautiful
Makes my heart race and my stomach flip. ❤️
Aaron Sandker ever since you posted about the sound of the Loon i think of this page. When i was little this women gave me a photograph book by Jim Brandenburg. It was mostly of wolves and ravens. He also does this daily nature video you might like.
Cool Anna ! This looks wonderful, thank you for thinking of me:)
I think of you and the rest of the Sanker tribe often and fondly. Take care!
thank you
Wonderful!
Just looney for loons:)
Ahhh…wonderful
Thank you for sharing your art—it’s beautiful!
Deeply moving.
In days gone by, the cry of a loon prompted people to think of it as a portent to something evil or bad. I find it mesmerizing and see it as communication and as important as the wolf’s howl.
Erie but really cool…love the trail of light behind the loon. Thanks for sharing.
I want to be there.
The mist rising from the lake and the mournful call of the loon make this magical. LOVE these videos.
Wonders of FB
