Such a great example of nature and different species sharing space. If only humans could be better at it
Think of the adrenalin flowing through that little guy!
Love affair.
They can’t have been too hungry. Luckily for the otter!
That was utterly amazing.
Wow
So glad the otter won, it was his lucky day.
It was the otters lucky day!
Great footage! Not how I thought it would end!
hahahahah……”who dat?!”
Young wolves. What’s the saying human mothers say?…..”Children! Don’t play with your food!”
Wow!
A game of tag?
What was that little guy…?
A surprise ending!
I love watching these videos! Thanks for posting them : )
One lucky otter
what an interaction to capture, brilliant
Toujours un grand plaisir à regarder celle là ! Ouf, les loups n’ont pas faim. : )
What a terrific, fun video for today. Thank you Jim.
Thank you.
FANTASTIC footage! A universe above the filming of a bunch of large guys playing football in a heated dome for too much money in front of a herd of sapiens who couldn’t handle the cold….
wow; thank you
Great footage, but please leave out the added obnoxious sounds.
Then turn off ur volume
Stunning to watch that play out thanks Jim for all these windows into Nature’s gifts and surprises!
Wow, that got my heart racing!
Do we know why the second wolf is missing it’s front paw
? Is it a result of trapping?
Second Wolf victim of a trap.

Two of my favorite creatures. It looks like the the footless trap survivor is cleverly waiting on the otter’s trail home.
Hmmmm, who was chasing whom….loved it! A moment of excitement for all…
What a dramatic scene with the otter and the wolves. I’m sure his spunk and attack surprised the wolves and he made a clean getaway. I love otters and this one shows his courage and tenacity to defend himself against a larger animal. Thanks for capturing this encounter in the wilds.
The otter was my favorite today.
Wow!
Phew, that was close
Glad about the ending-
I think the wolves thought they had found a new playmate.
maybe the otter’s scent glands put them off the kill
Great video!
That was close. The wolves must not have been too hungry.
Wow!
That was tense.
I laughed myself silly! I sure wish I could’ve seen this myself. Jim, you are one lucky man!
Typical youngsters. They need more training of hunting skills from the pack.
100% awesome moment!!
They’er not very hungry.

Loved it. Such an interesting video. I’m really surprised they let the otter escape.
I’m surprised the wolf weren’t hungry the lighter-colored one was very pretty the other one looked quite thin

Karin, in a previous video, Jim described this wolf as a trap survivor/trap injury.

They must be yearling pups as they are still too young to have honed their hunting skills. Where is the rest of their pack? These two seem to be too young to have dispersed from the main pack?
Wolves must have been full

Why would the wolves pass up the otter?

Peut-être pas faim ou la loutre trop dure

one of the wolves is the injured-paw (trapped) individual. Sequencing may not be accurate, but it would be informative to get an update of recovery, when possible.
