The ending is awesome showing the horned lark and his wary glances to make sure of safety. I love the setting and the stark beauty of snow, boulders and bare trees.
So beautiful in all its white beauty. And the horned lark adds to the scene so much reality.
He’s got his down jacket on.
Thank you for the beauty.
Surprising and precious, I meant to add…
Love the glimpses of beauty that’s usually overlooked ~ gorgeous and enchanting! Thank you!

Ah,open prairie, sweet birdsong.
Wonderful. Been some time since I last saw a Horned Lark.
I’ll take snow dunes over sand dunes any day.
The prairie is so stark in the winter that is hard to believe that anything can survive there.
Stark! Beautiful! Thank you
Thank you, Jim, for all you do and all you’ve done to bring the beauty of nature to us all. The gift you so graciously share is such a blessing!
Magnificent, simple beauty! Thank you
Simply so beautiful I get tears in my eyes. The light, the wind, the sparkle snow, wind music & magical beauty of the little life existing.
Lovely yet chilling scenery and the little lark seems to be feeling the cold. I enjoy the nature scenes and it reminds me to get out and enjoy the great outdoors!
Lovely, so glad to see these images again this year.
Thanks for the daily dose of beautiful nature amidst the craziness that is our world now.
Thank you for making the winter month’s so much more beautiful with your artistic talent.
A Horned Lark! Wonderful! How DO these small birds stay warm in these sub-zero temps? Hard to not feel a little sorry for it, though I sense s/he’s got it under control.
Chill factor flows through the video! Simplistic yet powerful! Great work!
Your beautiful posts make my day!
MAGNIFIQUE …..MAIS TELLEMENT COURT…..MERCI
A horned lark on the upland prairie. The singing of the angels/ancestors in the background is a propos on sacred ground.
I can feel the cold wind blowing. What a sweet little bird. It looks so cold. TFS
Thank you.
What a simple picture and yet so lovely!!
Stark. Cold. Life eking out a living on the barren prairie. The cycle of life and Nature.
Beautiful! Every scene a work of art that stirs the soul. Love seeing the Horned Lark…I’ve never seen one in my area of Atlantic Canada. Thank you, Jim Brandenburg, for giving us a view of the Natural world through your eyes. These videos are treasures!
