You are a great master and an inspiration
Thanks, Jim. Great to see your artistry again.
Lovely…..the trill of it all!
Love “bird talk”…..
My parents still remember you sharing a beer with our golden lab up in Crosslake. Thanks for the beautiful shots. You are a legend.
Nice. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing Jim. The meadowlark is a favorite from my childhood. It is so sad they are losing grounds to live in, and are disappearing.
A wonderful reminder of the beauty around us each day.
I love their song, takes me back to my childhood. Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful.
This songs etched in my memory.
What is this marvelous little songster?
Cathleen Griffin it’s a Western Meadowlark at Blue Mounds State Park in Minnesota.
Thank you, Ruth. Such a beautiful song.
Blue Mounds is a gem with a lovely campground, pond, marches, the bluffs, and just a stone’s throw from Touch the Sky and Brandenberg’s gallery in Luverne.
Sounds like a wonderful vacation destination.
Absolutely Beautiful!! I’m assuming from the comments that it is indeed a Meadowlark. I’ve heard them here in Coastal GA occasionally. But I definitely heard them while visiting my mom in Iowa. Thanks so much for sharing!!❤️❤️
Certainly a breath of fresh air the little guy learning to be a big guy!
A magical moment where we can dive into this minute video and live it fully. thank you very much
Un moment magique où l’on peut plonger dans cette minute vidéo et la vivre pleinement . Merci beaucoup
For some reason, I thought you were filming these videos, Jim. That is certainly not our Meadowlark, commonly seen in south and southwestern MN. Ours has an entirely different song, which is long low note, higher long note, lower low note, lower high note followed by a much sweeter and long tweedle or twitter than that one had. Maybe this is a juvenile, who just fledged?
Beautiful!! Reminds me of summers in Worthington, MN in the 60′s and listening to the meadowlarks while we ate supper.
Hearing that meadow lark takes me back home. Thank you.
What a treat!
Oh, the magic of their song. Thank you!
Beautiful. Love the bird’s song and those adorable rabbit ears.
I love their song.
Sweet! One more trill after the screen went to black!
This brings back memories of my childhood in Oklahoma. Thanks.
Thank you for these precious moments of zen.
Thank you. I love these moments in nature. So peaceful.
No prettier song than a Meadow Lark and No prettier place than the Blue Mounds of Minnesota. Thanks Jim.
Saw my first one 30 years ago sitting on our arena fence here in Minnesota. Loved the sound of them. I haven’t seen one since.
Thank you so much!! I grew up in Luverne also, and I LOVED the beautiful, unmistakable song of the Meadowlark… I miss hearing their happy solos very much… it is one of many precious memories I have of growing up on the farm…❤️
We live in Wisconsin now and I don’t think they live in this area…
I was actually humming their song to myself the other day…
I love to hear the meadow larks in the field near me. It is so clear and such a beautiful little tune. Thanks for sharing the little rabbit as well. Love to see nature at it’s best.
Love it!
Lovely blend of birdsongs and bunnyhops…❤️
My late husband introduced me to thes birds.
Such a sweet time with the meadow lark. It’s a great closeup of this amazing singer. I love the views of the prairie and the glimpses of those who inhabit it. Thank for for a great start to my day!
