Amazing~
Fascinating! Was that nest on the GROUND?
That nest! Makes me wonder what’s crawling around in there.
Beautiful raptors
Simply breathtaking! I look forward to your posts and when I see you unveil what Nature has wrought I am reminded: I do not despair of this world. With gratitude.
Gonna be formidable in a few months. Rugged nest. Nice sky catch too. Thank you again.
Love your work.
Amazing. Thank you. Mom and dad must have had to travel far and wide to collect the sticks for that nest.
Love the bird’s eye view!
Wouldn’t want to be the target of that bone-chilling focus. . .
I type “wow” so much on your daily posts. Just incredible stuff to see. Thanks for this!
This is pure magic
Yes. If Jim B didn’t have the help of his collaborator, Laurent Joffrion, these fabulous images might have remained in his files. We are lucky that the two of them have provided us these wonders. Click on The Project, above, to learn more about how this began.
Respect the artistic choices of the creators. If a decision to collaborate has been made between the visual artist (photographer) in this case and a music/sound person, what they together produce for us is what we get–amounting to a joint artistic effort. It is up to us viewers to defer to choices shaping the works being shared with us. Maybe sometimes we need to stretch beyond our habitual preferences. It is not for us to make demands. (Watch with sound off if you cannot tolerate what is being offered.)
I thought about doing that but then I’d miss the NATURAL sounds that NATURE is making ..(bird calls, etc). We do not hear man made sounds when we are truly in nature. We hear only mother nature itself which should be enough. Leave your egos aside and let pure nature shine!
I agree with you Mike. I wish people could just enjoy what we are offered and stop complaining. And furthermore, these videos are already a few years old. I have watched them each day for three years now, and hope that they will continue.
I also agree and just enjoy what is being offered. Be thankful that someone is doing this.
burning laser eyes ~ nest skeletal gray bone dry ~ white down clouds cast dice
The human made sound effects do nothing to add to the imagery–it only serves as a distraction and diminishes the experience of watching the video.
Let nature’s own sounds hold their own—please!
Ferocious looking hawklet; awesome photography

What an interesting nest!
Great shots, wonder where it was taken. Love to listen to the sounds too, just nature, it doesn’t need anything added.
raptor nest on the prairie what a sight- thank you so much.-Ferruginous Hawks and Rough-legged Hawks (plus the Golden Eagle) are the only American hawks to have feathered legs all the way down to their toes.-https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Ferruginous_Hawk/lifehistory
Nice video. Feel sorry for those little ones having to lay in that hot sun. Must be miserable for them.
Ah….mazing!
Thank you.
