This one is my all time favorite – bring tears of joy at the beauty, the land and the music of this perfect scene. The coyote singing is the final lovely touch.
How can anything so beautiful be called “bad”!! Thank you~
This is so beautiful. I love the music, flute and voice. You are the artist and you can do whatever you want
This buffalo looks lonely. Where is the rest of the herd?
Just about ready to give up on these daily videos. The camera work is glorious, better than any I have ever seen elsewhere, but I enjoyed them so much more before you started adding human voice and instrumental sounds. I find myself holding my breath each morning hoping all I will hear are the precious sounds of the natural world. And, no, turning off the sound is not a solution for me. I want to hear the water, the wind, the birds, the coyote… As a senior woman who has fewer and fewer opportunities to be out in nature far from the clamor of civilization, the unadulterated videos have nourished my spirit. Thank you so very much for that.
Enjoyed the badlands. You don’t have to travel far to see the beauty of our country. We are blessed. Thank you.
Astounding presence!
Awesome.
My very favorite of the year! I would spend many hours in this spot if I could!
One of my very favorite places to be!!! Wish I could go now! Thank you for sharing!
Beautiful lands
Hauntingly beautiful!
The lone buffalo visited our campground in the morning in the badlands. We were amazed. Magical.
Very nice. Better than a movie trailer by David Lynch…
amazing country; thank you
Great share! Love it!
so beautiful!
so beautiful!
Haunting; primitive; beautiful.
Nothing like the Badlands. Amazing place. Thank you.
I definitely want to visit the Badlands.
That’s a lot of bull.
A lone buffalo
A crown jewel of the Midwest. Thank you for this stunning springtime image. Was there last week photographing at sunset.
So alone … so few left … the mournful sounds. Absolutely stunning yet sad. The badlands are beautiful when covered with green. And when the heat and the lack of rain make it austere….it is still beautiful in a foreboding way.
Always amazing…….
Would so love to be there.
Beautiful Badlands…the added sound takes away from the wonder and naturalness of the videos..in my opinion. It would be nicer just to hear the howling and bird sounds. Thank you for beautiful photography of so many natural places and animals.
I’m inclined to agree about the added music. The song of the Western Meadowlark is everywhere in the ND Badlands, an exquisite sound unto itself.
Cate Newton I believe we were talking about the badlands recently!
Wow, so beautiful!
Been there and it is even more awesome when you stand there and look at it all.
thank you so peaceful
One of the most beautiful places ever.
Super Stunning- have camped there a few times
Lonely herd animal. Safer in solitude?
Curious—why is the buffalo all by himself????
When it is not breeding season, the older bulls tend to keep to themselves.
Beautiful site! Thanks for sharing your talent with all of us.
Exquisite. Thank you~
Thanks for bringing this up to not being seen as ‘badlands.’
Thank you.
Again….beautiful!
Is this N Dak. or S Dak? Jim, have you heard of the problems with Fred Manfred’s home?
South Dakota
If you are traveling through South Dakota the Badlands should be a must see! Thanks Jim!!
Was thinking about planning a trip there again. It’s been a while.
One of my very favorite places to be.
