Gorgeous animal!
That is cute.
Beautiful coloring!
Beautiful!!
Wolf/fox?
Coloration is special (google it).
Anyway, not any cross! Only special coloration! In France such a ‘black’ fox is called ‘charbonier’ ((charcoal))
By cross does this mean a grey with a red? Can anyone confirm?

Nice. Never have seen a fox of the color. Thank you.
Lovely
Love the colors of Foxy, thanks for sharing
What a beautiful fox. I love the white tip on its tail. The sound of rain on the water made an outstanding background for viewing this scene. I always feels so calm and relaxed after seeing nature in action.
Kim Copic Post check out this video. What pretty fox.
Beautiful fox
Love the sound of the rain, and the shot of the fox amidst all the clumps of grass.Splendid.
It’s my favorite coloration of the red fox! We had a male by our house like that I called Freedom. His mate was red I called Fiona, and his kits I called Frolicky and Frisky also were the red variation! Thanks Jim!
Such a handsome fox.
Wow! I’ve never seen a cross fox before. Thanks.

What a beautiful fox. Mother Nature is indeed an artist. This fox kind of reminded me of the wild dogs of
Africa.
Pat MacCormick. Check this out!
Gorgeous colour!
Great video of the fox. He blended in so well with his environment.
Simple and lovely.
thank you
What a beauty!
Where is breakfast?
how beautiful!
The “cross” comes from the coloration on the fox’s back. It’s a melanistic color variety of the red fox.
I had to look up what cross fox meant!
What does it mean?
A fox that has a dark cross pattern on shoulders and back.
“The cross fox is a partially melanistic colour variant of the red fox (Vulpes vulpes) which has a long dark stripe running down its back, intersecting another stripe to form a cross over the shoulders.”
Cross fox (animal) – Wikipedia
A cross fox is a standard red fox and black phase(silver fox, also a red fox) mixed.
Me too!
I think the ID is incorrect. I think it is a dark gray fox. Can you tell me what the approximate sixe of the animal is? and why you felt it was a cross breed which is very uncommon.
