Fascinated by wild animals since childhood, Laurent Nédélec settled 30 years ago in the Pyrenees mountains, "because the last French bears seemed to guarantee a space still preserved from human omnipresence."
Laurent is now a Pyrenees National Park ranger, but also a photographer and filmmaker. "Nature and wildlife are still my favorite subjects. I mainly work around my home and try to highlight the moutain range's wilderness. I hope that my images can sometimes move people and make them realize that we are only roommates on this planet, not owners. By keeping some room for the ultimate otherness that is the wild world, we preserve an infinite source of wonder and a link with our origins."
